- Duplicate the concern. Hook up to the scanner and obtain fault code 215701 IBS faulty with multiple voltage instability codes present in all modules. Perform pinpoint test and found faulty IBS Sensor. Recommend replacing the IBS sensor,performing programing and retesting afterwards for any other malfunctions afterwards. Advise client that when there is voltage instability various malfunctions can occur and other malfunctions may be concealed when the IBS malfunctions. It may take as many as several weeks after repairs are made to allow the vehicles on board diagnostic computer to determine if there are any other faults.
